Microbiological agents regulated in different Risk Groups (RG) post different level of risks to the users thus the appropriate training prior to safely manipulate the agents in a containment lab is required. The uOttawa Biosafety Program has conducted a training needs assessment, which determined the different levels of training to be taken by the RG1 (non-regulated material) users and the RG2/3 users.
In order to allow the on-demand training and reduce the training process by 50%, we are now migrating to the Public Health Agency of Canada’s (PHAC) online training courses. These courses are available 24 hours/7 days in both English and French. Please select the links below and follow the guideline to complete the training required for your lab work.
